Pepper Steak (Venison)

1 1/2 lbs. venison sliced thin
3 tbsp. butter
1 large onion, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup. beef stock
1 tsp. tomato puree
1/3 cup cold water
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch

Saute onion, green pepper and mushrooms in 1 tablespoon butter.
Remove onions and peppers set aside.
Saute venison and garlic powder in 2 tablespoon butter until meat is medium rare.
In small pot bring soy sauce, beef stock and tomato puree to a boil.
Mix cold water and cornstarch and add to boiling mixture.
Stir mixture constantly to avoid lumps. This will thinken quickly.
Once sauce is thinkened return vegetables to pan with meat.
Pour sauce over meat and vegitable mixture
Simmer until meat is tender.

Serve over rice.
