Crispy Duck with Apples

1 Duck, cut in half lengthwise
2 Large apples, cored and sliced
2 Large onions, peeled and sliced
Salt and pepper to taste

Place the onions and apples in a large baking dish

Pat duck halves dry with paper towel and coat with salt & pepper to taste

Place on top of onions and apples, breast side up.

Cover with lid and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until duck is tender depending on size of duck. 

Uncover and place under broiler for 2 minutes or until duck is brown and cripsy
